Shadow work 101: Shadow work mentorship for spiritual seekers. Starting the fall 2025
After over a decade of practicing shadow work I have developed a method to help you deal with the challenging aspects of the practice so you can feel fortified and confident when facing some of the pitfalls of your inward journey.
In this mentorship program I will guide you in creating a foundation of trust and safety within yourself so you can take on your inner illusions with confidence. I help you develop discernment so you can confidently unmask the untruths that you have adopted into your belief system. Spirit doesn’t lie, I guide you in how to include spirit in your shadow work practice so you can have a trusted mirror during uncertain times. I support you to feel sturdy and grounded in the process of shedding and letting go. Lastly, I guide in developing mindfulness and non-attachment so can flow with the shifts in your perception of yourself and of the world around you ( as you shift from within so will your outer world).
What is shadow work?
Shadow work is self inquiry. The purpose of practicing shadow work is to bring awareness to hidden parts of yourself. You use Shadow work tools and practices to illuminate the aspects of your being that are currently beyond the realm of your conscious awareness and understanding of yourself. These unknowns include past trauma, stored grief, undiscovered gifts and concealed knowledge about your soul and purpose. Examples of shadow work tools include; journaling and psychotherapy.
If you answer yes to 6 or more of the following questions, then shadow work may be useful practice for you:
Do you self sabotage often?
Do you enjoy doing inner work and introspection?
Do you like to reflect on yourself?
Do your manifestations fall short of your wants and needs?
Do you attract people and experiences that are not in alignment with what you desire?
Does your inner world feel disconnected from your outer reality?
Do you notice yourself repeating the same patterns, without knowing how to break them?
Do you struggle with self confidence and trust?
Do you feel out of place often, but can’t pinpoint why you feel so different from others?
What are some of the circumstances that might motivate you to commit to shadow work practice?
You keep being disappointed by life events and societal issues, but you don’t want to be jaded.
You are on a spiritual journey and it has led you to dive deeper within yourself.

Though shadow work can be a very valuable practice, it is not for everyone.. For shadow work to be a beneficial practice for you, It is required that:
You have a natural curiosity about who you are on a deeper level
You already enjoy inner work and self inquiry to some degree
You are led by your desire to have inner peace and clarity
The outcome you seek must pertain to the person you want to become
Emotional self intimacy and self understanding are a major part of your goals
You are open to the ebb and flow of the shadow work process
You know how to or desire to take accountability for your own experience and journey
You have an interest in building a relationship with the sacred be it God, your ancestors, your spirit guides and or nature spirits.
